There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm.
Seorang anak laki2 mengunjungi kakek nenek nya di pertaniannya. 
He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods.
Dia diberi sebuah ketapel untuk bermain di hutan.
He practiced in the woods; but he could never hit the target..
Dia berlatih di hutan, tapi tidak pernah bisa mengenai sasaran.
Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner.
Karena putus asa, dia pulang untuk makan malam.
As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck.
Dalam perjalanan pulang dia melihat bebek peliharaan neneknya. 
Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head and killed it. He was shocked and grieved!
Secara reflek, dia menggunakan katapel tsb, mengenai bebek itu tepat di kepala dan bebek itu mati. Dia sangat kaget dan bersedih.
In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile; only to see his sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing.
Dalam kepanikannya, dia menyembunyikan bangkai bebek di tonggak batas hutan; hanya saudara perempuannya yang melihatnya! Sally melihat semuanya, tapi dia tdk mengatakan apa2... 
After lunch the next day Grandma said, 'Sally, let's wash the dishes'.
Keesokan harinya setelah makan siang, neneknya berkata kepada Sally, 'Sally,tolong cucikan piring'.
But Sally said, 'Grandma, Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen.'
Tapi Sally berkata, ' Nek, Johnny bilang dia ingin membantu di dapur'
Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?'
Kemudian dia berbisik kepada Johnny, ' Ingat bebek itu?'
So Johnny did the dishes.
Maka, Johnny yang mencuci piring.
Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and Grandma said, 'I'm sorry but I need Sally to help make supper.'
Hari berikutnya, kakek bertanya apakah anak-anak mau ikut memancing, tetapi nenek berkata, 'Wah sayang sekali tapi saya perlu Sally untuk membantu menyiapkan makan malam'.
Sally just smiled and said, 'well that's all right because Johnny told me he wanted to help?
Sally hanya tersenyum dan berkata, ' Hm...tidak apa2 karena Johnny bilang akan membantu nenek'.
She whispered again, 'Remember the duck?' So Sally went fishing and Johnny stayed to help.
Sally berbisik lagi kepada Johnny, 'Ingat bebek itu?' Maka Sally pergi memancing dan Johnny tinggal untuk membantu nenek.
After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's; he finally couldn't stand it any longer.
Stelah bbrp hari Johnny dikerjain Sally, akhirnya engga tahan lagi.
He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck.
Dia menemui neneknya dan mengaku bhw dia telah membunuh bebek nya.
Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug and said, 'Sweetheart, I know. You see, I was st andi ng at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I love you, I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make a slave of you.'
Neneknya berlutut, memeluknya dan berkata, SAYANG, SAYA SUDAH TAHU. TAHUKAH KAU, SAYA SEDANG BERDIRI DI JENDELA DAN SAYA MELIHAT SEMUANYA, TAPI KARENA SAYA MENGASIHI KAMU, SAYA MEMAAFKAN KAMU.. SAYA HANYA SEDANG BERPIKIR BERAPA LAMA KAMU AKAN MEMBIARKAN SALLY MEMPERBUDAKMU.

Hal yg terindah tentang TUHAN adalah ketika kamu meminta pengampunan..
He not only forgives you, but He forgets.
Dia tdk hanya mengampuni kamu, tapi dia melupakannya..
It is by God's grace and mercy that we are saved.
Oleh karunia dan rasa sayang kita telah diselamatkan.
