When the deceiver speaks to us, he cannot give peace. How many times do we struggle with our thoughts, if it doesn’t give you peace, it is not from God! The times when we try to solve things with our own reasoning, we will never find peace. If you read Romans 8:6 it says the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Holy Spirit is life and peace. That is why we need to fill our lives with the Holy Spirit.
It is a new year, and many decisions to make. You can only make that decision if you have the peace of God in your soul and heart about it. Sometimes you have to wait to get that, before you can move. That will help you to be in the right timing for everything in your life. Not your time, but Gods time. If you walk after your flesh, you will depend on your own strength, But if you wait upon the Spirit of God to lead you, you will depend on God, and receive peace. Don’t move on your emotions, the are so flexible.
We as woman can tell you all about emotions! But that I know, they are not reliable. There was a day in my life when God asked me” Retha, are you willing to be ruled by the word of God, or by your emotions?”
You can only trust the Word of God, because it is life and a light into your path. Let your emotions subside, and then decide!! Peace is the true confirmation that you are hearing from God. Don’t regret, wait for this gift - peace. It is there for you and me!
Tinus (my husband) and I are going with other Living ball team members to Rwanda in Africa the 23rd of January. What a privilege to go there and bring the gospel. Normally we think we are going to give to them, but they give to us.
They have lost everything to gain everything, the grounds were filled with blood, now they have life! YOU SEE, THEY HAVE NOTHING! Only God, so they have love to give, peace to give, humbleness to give, joy to give, The children have NOTHING materialistic, but they have love, they have Jesus.! They just want to hear more and more about Jesus Christ. We take the Living ball soccer ball with the four colour on it to them and through that we teach them the full gospel. The pastors are having a conference where they are getting equipped more. I am giving my testimony about how Jesus is truly still the same God of yesterday, today and tomorrow. And that he is so alive today, but those people do know that after their holocaust. Some of them have to walk for 600km to get there, but refuse to miss it. When the people in Africa begin to worship, the heavens open!
O how little do we need to be happy? We only need God. Then we are going to end it all with a tour of the gorillas! Yes, Gorillas in the mist, in Africa.
God said to me, this message shall go around the world. And He is faithfull to His word. You can trust God, Keep walking in the Spirit!
